JOB VACANCIES

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

We are currently in need for a part time assistant. The idea is to shadow in most aspects of our business to help with the following:

  • Testing and cleaning of equipment to a high standard.
  • Stock management - putting new items onto our website and sales channels (eBay/Reverb etc) including basic photography.
  • Packing and shipping.
  • Booking and collection of equipment with couriers. Potential to assist with external collections of gear from around the UK.

The ideal candidate will ideally be:

  • Local to the Redditch (Worcestershire) area or within commutable distance. Ideally with your own transport as we are in the middle of nowhere. This is not a remote role.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Mac literate.
  • Basic photography, social media and online shop knowledge.
  • Keen to learn about audio equipment from a technical sense with the potential to learn basic repair and maintenance.

This will be a flexible position so it may work well for someone with other commitments and wants some part time hours. We would be looking for approx 8-10 hours per week. This is open as a freelance position with the potential to being a part/full time employment position in the future. Pay to be negotiated depending on experience.

REPAIR TECHNICIAN

We are on the lookout for a repair technician to join our team. We use a few select techs for certain specialist items but we are in desperate need for an in house tech to help us keep on top on of our current workload to take on external repair work. Tasks to include:

  • Diagnosis and repair of audio equipment to component level.
  • Testing of audio equipment.
  • Management of repair schedule and answering to incoming repair requests.
  • Research and purchasing of parts and consumables.
  • Potential to offer training to apprentices and junior technicians in the future.

The ideal candidate will ideally be:

  • Trained to diagnosis and repair of audio equipment to component level with good understanding of the equipment we deal with.
  • Testing of audio equipment to a very high level. We set high standards in this area so an eagle eye (and ear) for detail is crucial.
  • Local to the Redditch (Worcestershire) area or within commutable distance. Ideally with your own transport as we are in the middle of nowhere. This is not a remote role.
  • Possibly available for location based work for client repairs.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Mac literate.

This will be a flexible position so it may work well for someone with other commitments who would like some part time hours. We would be looking for approx 10-15 hours per week. This is initially open as a freelance position with the potential to being a part/full time employment position going forward. Pay to be negotiated depending on experience.

Please don't apply if you're new to audio electronics - we won't provide any on the job training and the applicant is needed to provide knowledge and expertise where we cant already provide.

WORK EXPERIENCE

If anyone is looking for work experience to coincide with their studies or development then please get in touch! We are more than happy to help in the learning and progression of individuals starting out. This could be for someone looking to get into audio electronics or even social media marketing. Please note this isn't an invitation to come and twiddle knobs all day ;) but that is a small part of it at least.
